It’s our vision that everyone with palliative needs in our community receives responsive, proactive and equitable care.
To help achieve this, Te Omanga offers education opportunities for local, national and international providers of palliative care. We also offer learning opportunities to support patients and families in their time of need. We understand that knowledge empowers the human capacity to care.
Our commitment is to teach others so palliative care is integrated into all primary, hospital and home environments.
We make education opportunities accessible and flexible so people can access the learning they require. This may be in a formal setting, group work or one-on-one coaching. We value working alongside colleagues in different areas so there is mutual learning.
Te Omanga has a well-resourced Library, which can be accessed by patients, family members and other health professionals. We have a Librarian who can source books or online articles for personal or study use.
