Our Community Palliative Care team make it possible for patients with specialist palliative care needs to be cared for at home where they feel most comfortable.

For patients under the hospice programme who require a level of assessment and symptom control that cannot be managed at home, our Inpatient Unit (IPU) service is available.

We provide emotional, spiritual, cultural, social and psychological support through our Family Support Team.

Our Residential Care team supports patients, their families and their care staff, in rest homes and hospital level care facilities in the Hutt Valley.

Te Omanga Hospice has a set Referral Criteria on the hospice’s programme of care.

When you use a health or disability service in New Zealand, like Te Omanga Hospice, you have the protection of a Code of Rights. 

Te Omanga Hospice has provided a Specialist Palliative Care consultation service at Hutt Hospital since 2007.
