The Library at Te Omanga Hospice has a wealth of information that can be accessed and borrowed by patients, family members and professionals.
We have books that support adults and children to understand end of life, palliative care, grief and loss, death and dying.
There are biographies by people who have experienced end of life challenges and by family members who have worked through the grief process. We also have reference books and self-help books.
If you are a clinician, Residential Care facility or an external palliative care provider, you are welcome to use our library and its resources. Our Volunteer Librarians can assist you by searching for medical literature on any aspect of palliative care.
The Library is a quiet comfortable place where visitors are welcome to read and work. It is situated on the ground floor next to Southward Reception (nearest the car park) and is open during the day from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Our Volunteer Librarians work Monday and Tuesday from 9.00am to 2.00pm but you are welcome to visit and borrow books at any time.
