Touch Therapy – From a Nursing Perspective

Touch Therapy is a light rhythmical form of massage using oils and cream. It is provided to nurture, support and give warmth on a physical and emotional level. This therapy can provide relief from anxiety and tension. Sleep can be improved, breathing difficulties relieved and energy increased. Symptoms of pain and oedema are eased.

Sheryl Trigg, our Touch Therapist, is a registered nurse and has completed post graduate study in complementary nursing care. She is available each week on Monday and Thursday at the Inpatient Unit and will also visit some people in their homes.
