Te Omanga Hospice has been providing expert free care and support to those living with a life limiting condition in Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Wainuiomata and Eastern Bays since 1979. We’re really proud of our heritage and the part we’ve played in the delivery of quality care over the years.
Te Omanga receives around 60% of our funding through contracts with the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa District Health Boards, with the remainder of our funding sourced through the generosity of the people in our local communities.
The hospice has been developed and shaped over the years by the generosity of individuals, families and businesses alike. This has ensured that whilst it costs to provide them, our services can be offered free of charge to our patients and their families.
There are many ways you can get involved with hospice. For example, donate your time or money, donate goods to, or enjoy shopping at, our Hospice Shops in Petone, Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt, leave a gift in your Will, run your own event for Te Omanga Hospice or even buy a special brick in memory of someone you loved at our Garden of Appreciation. The possibilities are endless.
We require more than $2.5m annually to be able to keep providing the level and range of services we offer in our community. We’d love it if you were able to make an Online Donation today to help keep our services free to those who need it throughout the Greater Hutt Region.
