Christmas at the Hospice

Christmas is always a special time of year as we remember loved ones who have been on our programme.

The Farmers Tree of Remembrance Campaign

Te Omanga is privileged to be part of Hospice New Zealand’s Farmers Tree of Remembrance event in the lead up to Christmas. The national partnership with Farmers is a real strength for hospices right throughout New Zealand and we were very fortunate to be part of this event again.

This event invites Farmers customers to make a donation and write a message on a beautifully designed Christmas decoration card which they can place on a Christmas tree in the Farmers store they are shopping in. Farmers Queensgate and Farmers Upper Hutt Mall both support Te Omanga as their charity for this event.

We also have the same tree and cards available in our Petone, Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt Hospice Shops during this event.

Farmers also have a stunning Christmas bauble decoration for sale for $10, with all proceeds going to local hospices. If you buy a bauble from Farmers Queensgate or Farmers Upper Hutt Mall, your support will came directly to Te Omanga.

We are thrilled with this national campaign and enjoy working with both Farmers Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt.  Since 2014, Te Omanga Hospice has received $114,922 from this amazing event thanks to Farmers and Hospice New Zealand.

Ten Christmas Tables for Te Omanga

Ten Christmas Tables for Te Omanga is a special Christmas event where people tour around ten homes in the Hutt Valley and look at Christmas interiors, with a special focus on the dinner table.

We know kiwis love interiors and looking at other people’s homes is a great form of inspiration. We also know people love Christmas and the festivities associated with it. This makes it a perfect event for our Event’s Programme. See the fabulous photos from our 2016 event below.
