Throughout the hospice you will see a selection of beautiful floral arrangements, created by a Volunteer team of Floral Arrangers who use flowers from their own gardens, those of friends/neighbours, or our garden at Te Omanga Hospice.
Floral Arrangers are rostered for one week approximately every two to three months. This can be done on an individual basis or pairs. They come into the hospice on Monday morning to make up the arrangements – this can take two to three hours. Then they return on Thursday or Friday to refresh, ready for the weekend.
If you have some skills in floristry or just love flowers and have a good eye for arranging, then you might like to be part of the Floral Arrangers’ team.
“I love volunteering at the hospice – it’s a beautiful place to work.”
