Te Omanga Hospice provides palliative care through an interdisciplinary team of specialist doctors, nurses, therapists and specially trained volunteers to those living with a life limiting condition in the Hutt Valley.

Services


We support the delivery of palliative care in Aged Residential Care, the Hutt Hospital and in conjunction with General Practitioners. Our services are also delivered through Community Home Care, Day Care and our Inpatient Unit.

Our Story


Te Omanga Hospice has provided quality Palliative Care services free of charge to the Hutt Valley community since 1979. We have a rich history and a positive approach to continuous improvement and daily endorse our values of Respect, Partnership - Working Together, Compassion - Compassionate Professionals and Learning - from each other.

Education


Te Omanga promotes increased knowledge and innovation in education within Palliative Care for health providers and for the staff at Te Omanga Hospice.

Te Omanga Hospice manages a number of events developed both in-house and also as a recipient charity.

    Te Omanga has a meaningful approach to how we share stories with our patients, their families, donors, sponsors, supporters, volunteers and Te Omanga Hospice Foundation Members. We send this communication to our key stakeholders every March, July and again at Christmas.
