Garden of Appreciation
The Garden of Appreciation is a joint community project between Te Omanga Hospice, Rotary Club of Hutt River Valley and the Hutt City Council.
Located in Bracken Street, Petone, the garden has increasingly become a popular space for those wishing to spend time in remembrance and reflection, or even to enjoy a family picnic together.
Engraved bricks are laid along pathways in the garden, each one a lasting reminder of someone or something special.
We lay the bricks once a year and hold a ceremony in November. All those who have purchased a brick, will be invited to join us at the ceremony.
To be laid in time for this year’s ceremony, brick purchases must be made by Wednesday 25 September. Our special Garden of Appreciation blessing ceremony will be held on Thursday 14 November 2024.
To order a brick, please fill out the brochure on this page below, or you can pick one up from Te Omanga Hospice. Brick prices start from $150.
