About the Foundation
The Te Omanga Hospice Foundation was established in 2005 to help bridge a funding shortfall of around $2.5 million each year for Te Omanga Hospice. It is a separate registered charitable trust tasked with securing the financial future of the Te Omanga Hospice Trust.
Te Omanga Hospice is partly funded by the District Health Board, with the balance funded by the generosity of the people of the Hutt Valley. That’s why we established the Te Omanga Hospice Foundation – to provide the financial back up and support for the hospice so that it may continue to help future generations of people and their families/whānau dealing with life limiting conditions. As the Foundation grows it will be there to support not only the immediate financial needs of the hospice but also provide capital for future capital requirements.
“It is a great privilege to be involved with the Te Omanga Hospice Foundation. Since our inception in 2005, we continue to grow and look to the future with optimism. Your support will help us to make the hospice sustainable, ensuring it can continue to provide the very highest level of care and support to the people of the Hutt Valley.”
