Our Story

Since 1979, Te Omanga Hospice has provided quality Palliative Care services for those living with a terminal or life limiting illness in the Hutt Valley community.

The original property at 136 Woburn Road had wonderful gardens since 1840, when it was part of the large farm owned by Alfred Ludlam.

The Board of Trustees is accountable for ensuring that the Hospice is properly governed and effectively managed.

The Te Omanga Hospice Foundation is a registered charitable trust.

The Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) plays an important role in our strategic direction. The group has helped open new ways for the Hospice to connect with the community.

Te Omanga Hospice is a member of Hospice New Zealand and gratefully acknowledges the support and advocacy they generate on behalf of hospices throughout New Zealand.
