It is always a privilege to share the outcomes achieved over the course of a financial year at Te Omanga Hospice.

This year’s theme, A Shared Journey of Care, reflects the powerful partnership between our community’s generosity and the dedication of our multidisciplinary team – specialist doctors, nurses, therapists, cultural and spiritual carers, and specially trained volunteers. Together, we provide a comprehensive, free of charge, wrap-around palliative care service to every person and whānau we support.

“This year we celebrated 45 years of Te Omanga Hospice providing free, compassionate care and support to individuals and families across the Hutt Valley who are living with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. In this year alone 646 patients and their families have received our specialist hands-on-care – 155 patients on any given day. These individuals span the full breadth of life from ten years old to one hundred years old, each receiving the dignity and support they so richly deserve,” comments Biddy Harford in the Chief Executive’s Report of our latest Annual Review.
