This session will provide an overview of Registered Nurse Verification of Death in New Zealand, including death documentation requirements, the benefits of RN verification of death, the pathway and requirements for undertaking verifications, clinical assessment of death, and the relevant legislation that underpins this area of practice.
Important: Each organisation determines whether Verification of Death by registered nurses is included within its policies and practice framework. Attending this clinical skills session does not qualify participants to verify deaths within their workplace.
