Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist
Kate works in an education and liaison role to provide support to Residential Care facilities in the delivery of palliative care. Kate also supports all people in Residential Care with a palliative care need. Kate manages the clinical care of residents who are receiving specialist support as part of Te Omanga’s service, and provides ‘on the spot’ education relating to the person requiring care.
Kate is available to be contacted by Residential Care staff to consult with patients, speak with families, and support staff in their care of the resident. Kate, along with Ros McIntosh, also oversees the care of patients who are transferred to Residential Care facilities from the hospice for continuing care.

Clinical Nurse Specialist and Education Coordinator
Raelee’s work is primarily around promoting increased knowledge and innovation in education within Palliative Care for health providers and for the staff at Te Omanga Hospice. With the help of her team she designs and coordinates the delivery of the hospice Education Programme and supports staff to maintain their specialist skill in alliative care.
