Memorial Park, Bracken Street
The Garden of Appreciation is a joint community project between Te Omanga Hospice, Rotary Club of Hutt River Valley and the Hutt City Council.
Located in Bracken Street, Petone, the garden has increasingly become a popular space for those wishing to spend time in remembrance and reflection, or even to enjoy a family picnic together.
Engraved bricks are laid along pathways in the garden, each one a lasting reminder of someone or something special.
Brick orders this year will close on the 18th September. Each year, we hold a special ceremony to lay the engraved bricks in the garden. Everyone who has purchased a brick will be invited to attend the ceremony in November.
